Able turns auction talent to land sale
Vancouver Sun | Friday, March 31, 2006
Able Auctions has decided to toss a prime Fort Langley waterfront property out for auction rather than sell it through the traditional real estate market, the company announced on Thursday.
The 1.2 hectare site, including 62 meters of Fraser River frontage, has been off the market for 50 years, and Dan Bouchard, a licensed realtor and founding partner of Vancouver's Able Auctions, expects it will be snapped up in "no more than a few minutes."
"Selling homes by the auction method is a growing real estate trend. It's actually the most rapidly growing section on the auction industry," Bouchard said in a news release.
The property, assessed at $582,000, is on Allard Crescent near Derby Reach regional park.
Able will hold the auction at Fort Langley Community Hall.
